Terms and conditions

1. Bookings & Payment
A booking is not confirmed until any required deposit or payment has been received and confirmation has been issued by The Dunk Tank Guy.
The customer is responsible for ensuring all booking information provided is correct, including the event date, times, location, access requirements and contact details.
Any outstanding balance must be paid by the due date specified on the booking or invoice.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations must be provided to The Dunk Tank Guy as soon as possible.
Any cancellation made within four (4) days of the scheduled hire date will result in the forfeiture of all monies paid to The Dunk Tank Guy.
No refund, credit, transfer or rescheduling will be provided for cancellations made within this four-day period, subject to any rights the customer may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
For cancellations made more than four days before the scheduled hire date, any applicable refund, credit or rescheduling will be determined in accordance with the booking conditions applicable at the time of booking.
3. Weather
The customer is responsible for monitoring weather conditions leading up to their event.
Dunk tanks are outdoor equipment and may not be able to operate where weather conditions create an unacceptable safety risk, including severe storms, lightning, excessive winds or other hazardous conditions.
The Dunk Tank Guy reserves the right to suspend, delay or cease operation where reasonably necessary for safety.
A customer's decision to cancel because of forecast or actual weather remains subject to the cancellation terms above, except where otherwise required by Australian Consumer Law.
4. Site Access & Setup
The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the location where the dunk tank will be installed.
The customer is responsible for ensuring there is sufficient space for the equipment and that the nominated setup area is reasonably level, accessible and free from hazards.
Any stairs, narrow access, significant slopes, unusually long transport distances or other access restrictions should be disclosed before booking.
If the equipment cannot reasonably or safely be installed because the site or access is unsuitable and this was not disclosed beforehand, the booking may be treated as a customer cancellation.
5. Water Supply
Unless specifically agreed otherwise, the customer must provide access to a suitable water supply at the event location.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that use of the dunk tank and discharge of water is permitted at the venue.
6. Safety & Use of Equipment
All instructions provided by The Dunk Tank Guy or its staff must be followed.
Customers and participants must not misuse, climb on, modify, move or interfere with the equipment.
The Dunk Tank Guy may prevent any person from participating or stop use of the equipment where reasonably necessary for safety.
Children must be appropriately supervised by a responsible adult.
Participants must use the dunk tank appropriately and must not intentionally engage in behaviour likely to injure themselves, another person or damage the equipment.
7. Alcohol & Unsafe Behaviour
Anyone who is excessively intoxicated, behaving aggressively or otherwise considered unsafe may be refused participation.
The Dunk Tank Guy reserves the right to suspend or terminate operation if staff, participants, equipment or members of the public are placed at unreasonable risk.
No refund will be provided where operation is stopped because of unsafe, abusive or inappropriate behaviour by the customer, participants or their guests.
8. Damage to Equipment
The customer is responsible for taking reasonable care of the equipment during the hire period.
The customer may be responsible for reasonable repair or replacement costs where equipment is deliberately damaged, misused, moved without permission or damaged through negligence by the customer or their guests.
Fair wear and tear is excluded.
9. Event & Venue Requirements
The customer is responsible for obtaining any permission required from the property owner, venue, council or event organiser to operate the dunk tank at the nominated location.
Any venue restrictions or special requirements that may affect delivery, setup or operation must be disclosed before the event.
10. Delays & Circumstances Outside Our Control
The Dunk Tank Guy will make reasonable efforts to provide the equipment at the agreed time.
Circumstances outside reasonable control, including significant traffic incidents, road closures, emergencies, severe weather or equipment failure, may occasionally cause delays or prevent performance.
Where The Dunk Tank Guy cannot provide the booked service, the situation will be handled in accordance with the customer's rights under Australian Consumer Law.
11. Photography & Marketing
Photographs or videos taken by The Dunk Tank Guy at an event will only be used for promotional or social-media purposes where appropriate permission has been obtained.
Customers may advise staff if they do not wish themselves or their event to be photographed.
12. Liability
Participants use the equipment at their own risk to the extent permitted by law and must comply with all safety instructions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By paying a deposit, making payment, confirming a booking or proceeding with the hire, the customer acknowledges that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

One thing I would not put on the website is wording such as “no refunds under any circumstances.” In Australia, there are circumstances where a business legally has to provide a refund or another remedy. The wording above protects the four-day cancellation policy while preserving mandatory consumer rights.
If The Dunk Tank Guy operates in Victoria, I can also make this substantially stronger by tailoring it specifically to Victorian equipment-hire/event operations, including damage, injuries, indemnity, public liability, council/venue requirements and participant waivers.
